The Role
To serve as the primary liaison between our organisation and our customers on all product quality matters. This role will ensure Global quality standards are maintained, compliance with customer requirements are met, and continuous improvement is achieved through effective quality engineering and manufacturing practices.
Positively support all areas of the business in evaluation and resolution of quality issues. Be active in providing and supporting the implementation of solutions to both quality and business problems.
To maintain the company's recognised quality system and to assist the Quality Manager in the maintenance of quality records. Success will be measured by the continued certification to IATF 16949 and the results of external customer audits.
* Ensure the upkeep of the company's established quality management system and support the Quality Manager in managing quality documentation. Success will be evaluated based on maintaining Quality System certifications and favourable outcomes from external customer audits, relating to Customer satisfaction.
* Delivers and facilitates continuous education and training for all employees at this site on OP-EX and Quality continuous improvement initiatives. Fosters a culture of ongoing learning. Supports all areas of the business by providing training and coaching in problem-solving techniques such as the 5 Whys, DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve, Control), process flowcharting, 8D problem-solving, control plans, FMEA, standardized work, Poka-yoke, Gauge R&R, SPC, MSA and other related quality tools.
* Address customer requirements through timely and effective corrective and preventive actions to ensure that all related reports are completed within the customer's specified deadlines. Performance will be tracked and evaluated based on customer report cards and internal KPI targets.
* Prioritises execution and results by aligning actions with the key priorities set forth in Departmental and Corporate Objectives. Supports the upkeep and effectiveness of tracking centers at both cell and departmental levels.
* Assist in reviewing and closing quality complaints and internal reject issues, ensuring that appropriate containment actions have been implemented.
Requirements
* Degree in relevant engineering principle or formal Quality qualification
* Auditor qualification preferred (VDA knowledge and background)
* Minimum of 5 years in a Quality role within Manufacturing
* Experience of Automotive and Aerospace customers
* Knowledge of core Quality Tools (8D, FMEA, SQC etc)
