Contract: Essex Highways

Contract Type: 8 Month FTC
We are looking for a proactive and experienced Site Supervisor to join our Member Highways Initiative Team, reporting to the Engineer, Scheduler, and Project Lead. This role provides a consistent on-site presence across a range of schemes delivered throughout Essex, overseeing the work of our Supply Chain Partners (Subcontractors).
You will be responsible for monitoring Safety, Quality, and Environmental performance, maintaining accurate written and photographic records of site activity. As Principal Contractor, the team delivers a member-led maintenance programme focused on footway and carriageway defect repairs.
This is a hands-on role where your knowledge and experience will ensure works are delivered safely, to a high standard, on time, and within budget, while maintaining full compliance with company policies, legislation, and best practices.
The Role
* Supervise allocated works to supply chain partners
* Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to budget
* Ensure that all projects comply with Health and Safety Regulations and CDM requirements
* Follow RJ's Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures at all times
* Review Risk Assessments, Method Statements and COSHH
Job Description
About You
* Experience undertaking construction work in the vicinity of underground services preferred.
* Experience in the supervision or operation of traffic management preferred.
* Experience with carriageway & footway construction (materials and methods) preferred.
* Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.
