Managed Services – Assistant Manager
We are looking for talented Assistant Managers to join us with technical experience such as:
• Tax and/or accounting compliance and reporting expertise and/or
• VAT compliance and/or VAT process management expertise and/or
• Transfer pricing compliance and/or transfer pricing advisory expertise
We are additionally looking for experience in:
1. Engagement management
2. Tax governance and controls expertise
3. Transformation, transition and project management
4. Client relationship management
5. Developing standardised methodologies
6. Tax compliance process improvement/redesign expertise
7. Implementing appropriate technology to support compliance and reporting processes
Roles & Responsibilities:
8. Delivering global and large UK tax and accounting compliance and reporting managed service projects;
9. Supporting with the implementation of managed service and transformation solutions for tax and statutory compliance to ensure the widespread adoption across their business units;
10. Implementation of technology solutions to support the delivery of our managed service solutions;
11. Managing the day-to-day governance and issue resolution, and liaising with international clients and KPMG overseas teams;
12. Support the business development process to progress leads to sales;
13. Assisting in delivering transformation projects ranging from redesigning processes, developing Centres of Excellence, upskilling & technology opportunities;
14. Supporting client relationships with both existing and new clients;
15. Line manage trainees and overseeing output of offshore resource in order to deliver client projects;
16. Identify opportunities for additional tax services that the client may need and liaise with subject specialists;
17. Coaching and tax and statutory technical support for other team members;
18. Follow KPMG best practice and policy.
19. Analyse and interpret the impact of tax & statutory legislative changes to keep clients abreast of changes and the impact on key processes;
20. Manage issues and escalations arising from global tax compliance delivered under large multinational global engagements. Including but not limited to indirect tax, WHT, transfer pricing, corporate income tax and statutory compliance;
21. Co-ordinating regular meetings to update clients on the performance of their tax compliance engagements through qualitive KPIs.
Knowledge and Experience:
22. Experience of tax and accounting compliance processes (e.g. Direct/Indirect tax returns, statutory accounting, transfer pricing, tax reporting).
23. Strong project management/co-ordination skills and experience (e.g. on global tax and statutory compliance outsourcing engagements, tax/accounting transformation programmes or similar projects);
24. Experience in process, risk and controls design;
25. Experience in transition, change management and stakeholder management;
26. Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills. Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clear;
27. Awareness of technology and automation to drive efficiency, risk management and value;
28. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for own work. Sustains a high level of leadership and drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude when coping with pressure at work;
29. Analyses problems, identifies core issues, investigates, evaluates and integrates information;
30. Builds the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experience;
