Learning Support Assistant

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education setting seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants to join their team.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support learners aged 16–25 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and associated mental health needs, helping them develop the skills and confidence needed for adult life.
Working closely with teaching and senior staff, you will play a key role in supporting learners’ academic progress, personal development, and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of the curriculum up to Level 3 qualifications
* Build positive, professional relationships with learners and act as a strong role model
* Provide consistent, tailored support based on individual needs
* Assist with learners’ personal development, including social, health, and hygiene needs
* Work alongside teachers to support lesson planning, delivery, and adjustments
* Communicate effectively with staff and external professionals to support learner progress

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant (TA) or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) is beneficial, but attitude, personality, and commitment are the key qualities we’re looking for.
About the Setting
This is a specialist further education provision supporting young people with ASD and additional needs. The setting provides a holistic approach to education, combining tailored teaching, therapeutic support, and structured environments to prepare learners for independence and adulthood.
