Your Role
* Leading workstreams and smaller client engagements into the MOD to deliver Finance and Cost Modelling Subject Matter Expert advice to support delivery of client Business Cases and Programmes.
* Develop MOD Finance Cost Models (using JAMES and CRBS templates) to support Investment Appraisals for Business Cases.
* Liaison with Finance Business Partners, MOD approvals, incl. CAAS and Defence Economics during Business Case approvals.
* Developing clear Basis of Estimates which provides rationale for costs captured and the assumptions established.
Role
* Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
* Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think‑tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
* Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.
Your Profile
* Experience in the Defence sector/MOD, wider Defence consultancies, and/or Defence suppliers.
* Hold SC clearance or are willing to go through the SC process.
* Cost Modelling experience in line with HMT Green Book, JSP507, and CAAS Guidelines.
* Advanced MS Excel modelling skills.
* Experience developing MOD Cost Models for Cat A – D MOD Programmes, using the CBRS and JAMES cost model templates.
* Currently working in a major Consulting firm, and/or in industry but having a Consulting background Proven ability to be successful in a matrixed organisation, and to enlist support and commitment from peers in selling and delivering consulting solutions.
* Experience of proposition building and delivery.
* Business development – utilising a combination of the organisation’s broader pre‑existing relationships, company relationships and your own network.
