We are working with our global manufacturing client who has a vacancy for a pre-press operative working on days with a valid forklift license.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Being adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
* The ability to safely operate machinery and equipment.
* Effective communication skills.
* Organize working day so that the presses are kept supplied with tooling to match schedule, and to ensure label orders are picked on time for dispatch.
* Mix ink to match Pantone requirements.
* Manage ink stock, booking ink in and out of stock.
* Print out carton labels and core labels for work orders.
* Operate ERP system (Oracle E1) to provide work-to lists for picking, packing, and stocking.
* Ensure labels are located correctly and safely in storage locations.
* Ensure FIFO (first in first out) principles are adopted when picking stock, using DSI barcoding to ensure this practice.
* Accurately follow information on pick slips using DSI barcoding to ensure customers receive correct labels.
* Supply high-level consumables to the label department as needed.
* Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
* Abide by all statutory requirements including health and safety.
* Read, understand, and fulfill responsibilities under the company’s equal opportunities policy.
* Adhere to and promote all company policies and procedures including HR and health and safety.
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Line Manager.
