Job Description
This is a high profile, exciting role where you will derive a significant sense of achievement in supporting Billable Works delivery against an ever growing portfolio of activity that directly supports the Customer to live work train and deploy whilst also striving to meet Government sustainability targets.
You will work collaboratively with Industry Partners to ensure that we offer our Customer (UK based Armed Forces) value for money solutions in their many infrastructure challenges. You will be required to establish efficient and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, ensuring the best workable pragmatic outcomes are derived and offer value for the property product offered.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
* Collaboratively conforming with all agreed DIO processes and Operating procedures, ensuring service provision and delivery of VFM solutions to a positive outcome.
* Providing assurance of service delivery to support statutory compliance of the MOD estate.
* Providing key customer engagement and feedback on Supplier's performance under the Future Defence Infrastructure Service arrangements, including issue resolution.
* Providing cost estimates for Construction Minor Works.
* Conducting Contractor Cost Data reviews and VFM Benchmarking.
* Cost Models on ad hoc Projects and Programmes.
* Conducting Tender Evaluation reviews.
* Exercising Commercial Delegation to commit work to delivery.
* Supporting the TLB funded Command Infrastructure Delivery Plans, ensuring delivery.
* Travelling throughout the Region to effectively delivery outputs.

Person specification
Essential Criteria
* BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent, or BTEC/ SQAHNVQ or SCOTVEC HNC/ HND in relevant construction field with substantial relevant experience in construction.
* Driving License as need to visit multiple sites sometimes including an overnight stay not all are accessible by public transport.
Desirable Experience & Skills:
* Experience in compliance management across a large portfolio or/and complex organisation.
* Experience of working in a property management (or similar) organisation including experience of managing one of the following: fire, legionella, gas, asbestos, electrical, fuels.
* Understanding and complying with estate and property related legislative, statutory, regulatory and professional requirements.
* Relevant experience of working in highly collaborative environments and/or matrix managed organisations.
