Are you a recent or soon-to-be graduate looking to take your first step into the world of education?
We’re working with a number of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across the wirral who are looking for graduate support staff to join them in October. Whether you studied Psychology, English, Maths, Counselling, Literature, Fine Art or a related degree, this is a fantastic chance to use your knowledge and enthusiasm to make a real impact in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Supporting pupils in class, in small groups, or 1:1
2. Helping with literacy, numeracy, and creative activities
3. Assisting children with SEND or additional needs (training provided)
4. Building relationships and encouraging positive behaviour
5. Gaining hands-on experience of school life ahead of a future in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, SEN or youth work
What We’re Looking For:
6. Degree: A 2:2 or above
7. A genuine interest in working with children
8. A proactive, patient and reliable approach
9. A desire to learn and grow in an educational setting
10. Experience working with young people (e.g tutoring, volunteering, holiday camps) is helpful but not essential
