Fixed term or internal secondment for 12 months (37 hours per week). Our Family Practitioners are often involved with a variety of statutory interventions with a goal of reducing the need for children to be taken into care. Your role will involve providing skilled interventions and practical targeted support to families in crisis and offering long‑term support where needed. You will be part of a small team delivering early and effective services, collaborating with other professionals in a defined geographic area.

Requirements and experience
* Confident spoken and written communication skills in English.
* Experience working in social care, particularly in multi‑agency and court environments.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to build effective professional relationships with children, families and colleagues.
* Proficiency in IT skills.
* Excellent recording and planning abilities.
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle (exceptions may apply under the Equality Act 2010).

Due to Devon’s rural nature and the size of our localities, candidates should expect to travel between visits, often over long distances.
