GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic SEMH TA to join a supportive school in Rotherham (S60). This role provides the opportunity to support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, helping them thrive academically and personally in a safe and inclusive learning environment.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs during lessons and interventions.
* Work 1:1 or in small groups to provide tailored support.
* Encourage positive behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation.
* Assist class teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management.
* Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.
* Monitor and record pupil progress to inform teaching strategies.
Requirements for SEMH Teaching Assistant:
* Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs in a school setting is desirable.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young learners.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
