Job Opportunity: Special School Teacher
We are working closely with a lovely special school based in Frome that is seeking a teacher to join their team in leading a class three days a week. The school caters to a wide range of special needs and disabilities from ages 4-16.
The Role
There are 9 students in the class, each with varying learning and cognition needs. The class includes students with diagnoses such as Down's Syndrome, ASC, and Cerebral Palsy. Some pupils are verbal, some use AAC (including Eye Gaze) to communicate, and others are non-verbal.
Experience working in a special school is preferred due to the needs of the students, but applications from candidates with relevant experience are welcome given the urgency of this position. QTS is also preferred.
