About us
Priory Project Ltd is a small, values-led charity providing support for adults with learning disabilities at Priory House. We champion choice, independence and a warm, homely environment.
The role
We're recruiting a Senior Support Worker to be one of two Seniors providing daily on-shift leadership. You'll model best practice, mentor colleagues, coordinate activities, and keep plans and records ship-shape so that our residents have a great, safe day, every day.
What you'll do
* Lead the shift: allocate tasks, maintain safe staffing/1:1s, and keep the day running smoothly.
* Plan & review support: co-produce Support Plans and weekly schedules with residents, key workers and the Deputy; hold resident meetings (menus, shopping, activities).
* Positive Behaviour Support (PBS): use proactive strategies, early de-escalation and clear crisis plans; coach colleagues in consistent approaches.
* Quality & records: maintain accurate daily notes, appointments and incident reports; check colleagues' entries for completeness and follow-through.
* Health & personal care: maintain dignity while supporting daily living needs; arrange/attend medical appointments; administer medicines in line with training and policy.
* Safeguarding & H&S: uphold safeguarding at all times; use safe moving & handling; escalate concerns promptly; work to the Code of Professional Practice for Social Care.
* Team development: mentor and guide support workers; model calm, positive communication with families and professionals.
About you

* Confident with PBS, safeguarding and MCA/Best Interests; thorough with documentation.
* Great communicator who builds strong relationships with residents, families and professionals.
