We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to take ownership of all purchasing activities for a busy manufacturing business. This is a key role, responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective and high-quality supply of components, materials and services while supporting operational efficiency and business growth.
The Role
As Procurement Manager, you will:
* Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
* Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation
* Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or delivery
* Conduct project feasibility analysis and specify capital equipment for future growth
* Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for savings and process improvements
* Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare reports for senior management
* Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and industry standards
* Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to forecast demand and manage inventory
Skills & Experience
* 3–5 years’ procurement or supply chain experience, ideally in manufacturing or electronics
* Strong negotiation, contract management, and analytical skills
* Experience using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
* Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable: Degree/diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field, professional certification such as CIPS
