Assistant Store Manager - Retail
What We're Looking For
The Assistant Manager supports the daily operations of the store while acting in accordance with Roots principles and standards. They provide sales and customer service leadership, projecting the Roots culture and brand through excellent customer service and strong visual presentation techniques. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, the Assistant Manager oversees daily store operations, drives business growth, and develops team members through a balanced leadership style. They create a positive customer and employee experience.
To be successful, you’ll need to possess:
* 2+ years of related experience in a retail apparel environment; luxury retail experience is a plus
* Leadership skills that drive results, develop talent, and focus on the customer
* Demonstrated sales achievements in a retail setting
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
* A passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience
* Experience with visual planning and merchandising
* Ability to collaborate with others and be self-motivated
* Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills
* Availability for varied weekly shifts, including weekends, closing, and holidays

* Delegating tasks efficiently to maximize store operations
* Collaborating on risk management, security, cash controls, and inventory management
* Managing store opening and closing procedures
* Implementing visual merchandising directives and maintaining visual standards
* Supporting daily store operations to promote a sales environment and meet operational guidelines
