The role
About the Role
As an Art Teacher, you will deliver engaging and imaginative lessons that develop student's practical skills, creativity, and appreciation of visual culture. You will encourage experimentation across a variety of media and techniques, helping students build confidence in expressing their ideas visually.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Art lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach a range of disciplines including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art
Develop student's creativity, technical skills, and critical understanding of art
Assess, track, and report on student progress
Support GCSE and A-Level Art & Design (where applicable)
Maintain a safe and inspiring studio environment
Contribute to exhibitions, displays, and extracurricular art clubsAbout You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Degree in Fine Art, Art & Design, or related subject (Preferred but not essential)
Strong portfolio and practical art skills
Passion for creative education and visual arts
Ability to motivate and support students of all abilities
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
