Moog Aircraft Group - Military Actuation, is looking for a bright, analytical engineer with a strong grasp of hydraulics and mechanical systems based in Wolverhampton. This is a technical role focused on ensuring Moog's primary flight control products meet stringent performance and safety requirements. Responsibilities
* Interpret and manage customer technical requirements for primary flight control products, ensuring they are accurately translated into Moog specifications.
* Size and select actuators to meet performance requirements, using hydraulic and mechanical principles.
* Perform detailed analysis and modelling of system performance, including simulation techniques to predict behaviour under various conditions.
* Define and oversee compliance activities, including validation and verification plans, test schedules, and procedures.
* Lead technical investigations into product issues, working with internal teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve problems quickly and effectively.
* Prepare technical documentation and reports, including compliance matrices, test reports, and proposals for new business opportunities.
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across design, stress, safety, and materials engineering to ensure robust solutions.
* Support the full product lifecycle, from requirements definition through design, analysis, testing, qualification, and entry into service. Flexible benefits package and development opportunities to support career progression

Qualifications
* Ideally, a first-class or high 2:1 degree in Mechanical Engineering (with exposure to hydraulics and systems engineering).
* Strong understanding of hydraulics and mechanical equipment performance analysis.
* Excellent analytical skills with experience in modelling and simulation (MatLab, Mathcad).
* Ability to work across the full product lifecycle-from requirements definition to qualification and entry into service.
* Clear communication and report-writing skills; confident working independently and in multi-disciplinary teams.
