Job Advert: Individual Needs Assistants (INAs) – EYFS Reception / Primary School

We are seeking to recruit Individual Needs Assistants (INAs) to join our welcoming and dedicated team in the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) setting in Newhaven starting in September 2025, and will primarily focus on supporting children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) within a Reception class.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with EHCPs.
* Assist with the development and implementation of tailored learning plans.
* Support children with personal care needs where required.
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to monitor and track progress.
* Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably with those who have special educational needs.
* A compassionate and patient approach with a focus on enhancing the learning experience for each child.
* Ability to adapt to the individual needs of the children and support their development in all areas.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
* A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) would be desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
