Our people make the difference. We are looking for an experienced and driven Production Shift Manager to lead our Steelpark large operations team. Working on a double-day shift pattern, you will be responsible for motivating Team Leaders and their teams to deliver safe, efficient, and high-performing operations while meeting customer and business objectives. This is a key leadership role with direct impact on safety, quality, productivity, and profitability. Influence: Able to engage, persuade, and gain commitment across teams and stakeholders. What you will do Plan, schedule, and coordinate all operational activities during your shift. Lead, coach, and mentor Team Leaders to develop capability and performance. Implement and maintain the Health & Safety management system, ensuring full compliance with all procedures and standards. Create and embed a strong safety culture where unsafe acts and conditions are proactively reported. Set and continuously raise standards of safety behaviour and operational discipline. Take charge during incidents, liaising with external parties and keeping stakeholders informed. Identify strengths and development needs of Team Leaders and shift teams in line with business needs. Ensure the operational plan is delivered effectively during each shift. Maintain clear communication and effective handovers between shifts. Assess risks, make sound decisions, and respond effectively to changing priorities. Act as cover for Manufacturing Managers during holiday periods. Champion Health, Safety, Environmental, Quality and statutory compliance at all times. Lead by example in all aspects of Health & Safety. Risk assess proposed changes and improvements before implementation. Ensure full compliance with Management of Change processes. Balance short-term operational issues with long-term improvement initiatives.
