Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
Location: Onsite, 5 days per week (South Midlands / Cotswolds area)
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000
We are working with a well-established, growing organisation in the leisure and hospitality sector, seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join their head office team.
This is a key role focused on turning data into actionable insight, supporting decision-making across multiple areas of the business. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver reporting, analyse performance, and help drive operational and commercial improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting:
* Design, develop and maintain dashboards and reports for business stakeholders
* Monitor and analyse key performance indicators including revenue, utilisation and customer trends
* Deliver ad-hoc analysis to support strategic and operational decisions
Systems & Data Support:
* Act as a point of contact for reporting and analytics queries
* Troubleshoot data and reporting issues across systems
* Support improvements to reporting functionality and data processes
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency and governance
Business Performance:
* Identify trends and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and performance
* Support pricing and promotional activity through data analysis
* Analyse customer behaviour including segmentation, retention and lifetime value
* Provide recommendations based on data insights
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Work closely with stakeholders across the business to understand reporting needs
* Present insights in a clear, actionable way to non-technical audiences
* Support users with dashboards and promote data-driven decision making
Requirements
* Experience in a BI or Data Analyst role
* Strong Power BI skills (including DAX)
* Solid SQL skills
* Advanced Excel
* Experience working with stakeholders and presenting insights
* Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
Desirable
* Experience with Microsoft Fabric
* Exposure to automation tools or scripting (e.g. Python, VBA)
* Experience working with APIs or data integrations
* Background in hospitality, retail or service-led environments
