An exciting opportunity has arisen for Personal Assistants to provide support to a twelve‑year old boy with additional needs within his own home and to access the local community.
Responsibilities
* Personal care support: getting ready for school, changing after school, toileting and showering.
* Assist with feeding, maintaining daily personal hygiene and ensure supervision and safety when accessing the local community.
* Encourage and support participation in social activities such as swimming, trampolining, park visits, and arts & crafts.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Full driver’s licence and own vehicle access; mileage will be paid.
Details
The position is up to 26 hours per week during term time and up to 34 hours out of term time.
Hourly rate between £12–£15, depending on experience, and 5.6 weeks paid annual leave.
Hours can be flexible to the applicant; support will be required before and after school during term time.
