Job Description
3. Manage a portfolio of private clients, ensuring efficient tax compliance and advisory services.
4. Provide guidance on complex tax planning matters, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
5. Review tax returns prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
6. Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated client solutions.
7. Support clients with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
8. Identify opportunities to enhance client service and offer value-added tax advice.
9. Mentor and develop junior team members to strengthen the department's capabilities.
10. Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and communicate their implications to clients and colleagues.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Private Client Tax Assistant Manager should have:
11. A recognised tax qualification, such as ATT, CTA, ACA or equivalent.
12. Experience working within a professional services environment in the tax industry.
13. Strong technical knowledge of private client tax matters, including compliance and advisory services.
