Our client, an established multi-utilities infrastructure company, is looking for a motivated Health & Safety Auditor to join their growing HSQE team. As the Health & Safety Auditor, you’ll carry out Health & Safety audits across various sites, regions, and depots, supporting operational teams and ensuring compliance with internal standards and external client requirements. Key responsibilities for the Health & Safety Auditor:
1. Conduct structured Health & Safety audits across operational sites, regions, and depots.
2. Audit key areas including plant, equipment, and excavation safety controls.
3. Review training records, competency certifications, and authorisations.
4. Assess vehicle and driver compliance.
5. Support site-specific risk assessments where required.
6. Track and monitor close-out of non-conformances from audits.
7. Follow up with site teams, managers, and subcontractors to ensure actions are closed.
8. Maintain clear records, action logs, and reports.
9. Promote a positive safety culture and support the company’s zero-incident strategy.
10. Support compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards.
Skills and experience required for the Health & Safety Auditor:
11. Previous auditing experience within construction or utilities - Essential
12. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, regulations & best practice.
13. Multi-Utility background: Gas, Water, Electric
14. Confident reviewing and auditing compliance records, certifications and training.
15. Familiarity with ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 management systems.
16. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
17. Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage audit schedules and follow-up actions.
18. Excellent communication skills, confident working across all levels of the business.
19. Full clean UK driving licence.
