As a Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will lead, develop, and optimise all manufacturing activities to deliver safe, high:quality, and cost:effective production. You will be responsible for ensuring performance to plan, driving continuous improvement, and building a high:performing team within the manufacturing facility.
This is a key leadership role, focused on operational excellence, efficiency, and delivering consistent results across safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
You will also
- Lead day:to:day manufacturing operations to achieve production targets
- Manage labour, materials, and machinery to deliver the production plan
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all standards
- Lead, coach, and develop managers, team leaders, and frontline colleagues
- Monitor and drive performance against KPIs including productivity, quality, and efficiency
- Drive continuous improvement using Lean, 5S, and structured methodologies
- Lead operational reviews and ensure strong governance of processes and standards
- Work cross:functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Planning teams
- Manage budgets, resources, and cost controls to meet financial targets
- Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and improvement projects
About You
- Proven experience in manufacturing or production management within a complex environment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate high:performing teams
- Experience in continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Strong analytical and problem:solving skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisions
- Good understanding of production planning, resource management, and operational delivery
- Strong knowledge of health and safety and quality standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
