Azure Technical Lead - Cloud & DevOps

As an Azure Technical Team Lead, you will drive the delivery, optimisation and continuous improvement of complex Azure environments within a managed services setting. Combining hands-on expertise with technical leadership, you will guide DevOps practices, strengthen automation and ensure high-performing, secure cloud operations. Whilst this is a hybrid position you should expect to work on client site in Nottingham for 2/3 days a week as required.
In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of Azure and DevOps engineers, taking ownership of platform health, operational stability and continuous service improvement. By embedding strong governance, monitoring and cost management controls, you will ensure platforms remain resilient, high-performing and aligned to client needs.
You will oversee incident response, guide root cause analysis and implement preventative improvements, working closely with stakeholders to maintain transparency and trust. Lead & Mentor - Guide and develop a high-performing Azure/DevOps team.
• Design & Architect - Create scalable, secure Azure solutions (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity).
• Monitor & Govern - Embed security, compliance, performance and cost optimisation practices.
• You will be confident driving DevOps maturity, implementing Infrastructure as Code and leading teams through operational challenges while maintaining a focus on security, performance and continuous improvement.
Strong experience across Azure IaaS, PaaS, networking and identity services.
• Proven experience leading technical cloud or managed services teams.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar).
