About the Role
Were looking for a kind, patient, and enthusiastic SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team here at Class People. In this role, youll be working closely with one pupil who needs extra support to help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.
Every day, youll be making a real difference in this childs life - whether thats helping them access learning, build their confidence, or navigate the school day with a bit more ease. Youll be supported by the class teacher and our SENCO, and youll be a key part of our inclusive, caring school community.
What Youll Be Doing
* Supporting a student 1:1, helping them with learning, communication, and emotional regulation throughout the school day
* Working alongside the class teacher to adapt lessons and resources to meet the pupils needs
* Helping the pupil feel safe, calm, and included - both in the classroom and during less structured times
* Building a positive, trusting relationship with the pupil and celebrating their progress
* Working with our wider support team (including outside professionals) to help the pupil reach their full potential
Who Were Looking For
You dont need to have years of experience - were much more interested in your attitude and approach. If youre calm under pressure, genuinely care about helping children with additional needs, and are ready to learn, youll fit right in.
Ideally, youll also have:
* Some experience working with children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs)
* A warm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour and communication
* Good communication skills and a positive team spirit
* A willingness to learn and take guidance from others
* Relevant qualifications or training (nice to have, but not essential - well support your development)
