Join a leading hybrid-electric aircraft programme as an Electrical Systems Engineer
Are you interested in contributing to the next generation of sustainable aerospace technologies? Would you like to support the development of hybrid-electric propulsion systems as part of a major UK government-backed R&D programme?
We’re working with a globally recognised aerospace organisation that is in the early phases of developing a hybrid-electric aircraft. This includes designing the energy storage, electric power distribution, and propulsion systems for a new, more-electric platform. As part of this, the team is looking to bring in a number of experienced Electrical Systems Engineers on a 12-month contract basis.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading platform-level trade studies to help define and refine system-level electrical requirements.
* Supporting the selection and development of electrical system architectures.
* Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver detailed system specifications and performance requirements.
* Working with customers, partners, and suppliers to support the integration of emerging technologies and align with future capability needs.
* Defining and executing strategies for system-level verification and validation.
We’re looking for candidates with:
* A degree in Engineering (or equivalent), ideally with an electrical focus.
* A strong understanding of how electrical systems interact with other subsystems.
* Familiarity with systems engineering tools and techniques such as MBSE and DFMEA.
* The ability to work collaboratively and influence technical direction within a team environment.
* Preferably, prior experience across the full lifecycle of aircraft electrical power system development.
