We are currently looking to hire an experienced Concrete Works Supervisor to join our Infrastructure team based in Sellafield on a 15 year framework.

The Works Supervisor role
The Works Supervisor will senior member of the KDP8 projects delivery teams. The Concrete Foreman is responsible for the organisation and coordination of all logistical operations and procedures to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and health, safety, and wellbeing in all relevant phases of the project with regards to planning, timing, placing, finishing & curing of the cast concrete on site. The Concrete Foreman has a pivotal role in delivery and the effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders including internal teams, clients and subcontractors as is required.
Ensure compliance with SRM and client policies and processes on Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Sustainability and Quality
Participate in site leadership teams for safety, quality, and sustainability.
Ensure all staff, operatives, and supply chain partners, that are involved with the concrete works attend site inductions and behavioural workshops.
Deliver site toolbox talks on safety, quality, and sustainability.
Review Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Inspection and Test Plans.
Control site waste, materials, deliveries, energy, and water consumption.
Communicate and coordinate site activities with the project team
Review ongoing works for quality and report issues.
Manage daily activity briefings for sub/trade-contractors.
Supervise and manage directly employed operatives to ensure efficient and effective work performance.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to operatives.
Proven track record in the Construction Industry with site-based experience.
Knowledge of building products, construction details, regulations, and quality standards.
Understanding of the construction process.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS Desirable or willing to undertake).
Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card. (Experience working on NEC4 contracts or large-scale construction projects.
Experience delivering projects in the Nuclear or Regulated sector
Fresh Concrete Placing techniques in all aspects, Pump, Line and Skips, on large scale raft slabs, floors, walls & mass fill.
Concrete Finishing Techniques, power floating, hand trowelling, brush, etc,
Dry Concrete works (Making good, improving surface finishing, defect correction techniques)
Organising Plant, equipment and materials (Concrete Ordering) to ensure placement is the most efficient way of working.
