Role Description: Reporting to the Quality Systems Manager you are responsible for supporting the management of the Exton’s Food Safety & Quality Management System to ensure we produce food that is safe, legal, authentic to the right quality. The role will ensure all Extons processes are complaint to BRC, legal and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Support the upkeep of the EFSQMS system. Support the HACCP, VACCP & TACCP processes. Administration of the output from Internal Audits. Completion of assigned Internal Audits & Actions ensuring compliance across standards and customer requirements. Responsibility for document control and document issue. Ensuring all Food Safety Quality Management System (EFSQMS) documentation requiring an annual review is flagged for completion. Support with implementation of new processes in alignment with the EFSQMS. Support of Gap Analyses completion of new standards and policies. Completion of any assigned actions following Gap Analysis. Supporting second- and third-party audits including close outs of issues. KPI upkeep and scheduling for the Technical Function to ensure KPI’s are readily available at month end Supporting with the completion of KPI matrix Trending of customer complaints, non-conformances and identification of areas for improvement based on the trending output. Supporting the risk assessment determining processes, reporting and KPI’s. Leading the requirement and completion of Traceability exercises and Mock Recalls with the wider teams including the scheduling and completion of out of hours Mock Recalls.. Build strong relationships with wider teams. Support with the administrative duties as required of the Operational leadership team. Additional tasks as required. The ideal candidate: The ideal candidate must have: Food related qualification or relevant industry experience. Previous experience of working within a compliance and standards driven environment – British Retail Consortium (BRC). Knowledge of food legislation. High levels of attention to detail. Food Safety Level 3. HACCP Level 3. Lead and/or Internal Audit qualification. Listeria Management Experience/Qualification. Personal Attributes: Strong planning and organisational skills with a sense of priority for deadlines and attention to detail. Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills. Ability to be flexible to meet business needs. A passion for delivering results and the drive to exceed expectations. A team player. Self-motivated and a strong commitment to personal development. Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
