What you’ll do: We need to strengthen our Purchasing team with a Purchasing Manager who will focus on managing the team's daily activities and work alongside other departments to support in projects such as ERP system implementation. You’ll also lead the Purchasing team in Milton Keynes by implementing departmental and interdepartmental practices and systems to ensure promotion of continuous improvement and best practices. Roles & Responsibilities: Create, plan and implement purchasing strategies Focused on product cost reduction, value engineering, savings and efficiencies Manage suppliers performance and relationships from selection to product availability Working closely with R&D to support on samples and prototypes Rationalisation of existing supply base including selection and introduction of new suppliers to fill gaps Manage Inventory levels for all components and materials Manage MRP for all direct inventory. Including updating component standard price and other relevant purchasing data. Supplier, lead times and MOQ’s Restructure the purchasing department to meet the evolving demands of the business To be accountable for leading supplier negotiations and setting up commercial contracts with existing and new suppliers Support and work closely with the Hong Kong overseas Sourcing Operations Manager Monitor and control procurement budgets and costs to maximise efficiency and reduce expenses, without compromising quality.
