Housekeeping Assistants (6 months fixed term, part time)

Based in the heart of Cambridge, St Catharine’s College is looking to appoint Housekeeping Assistants to work part time (4 or 5 hours a day, 5 days a week) in our busy, friendly Housekeeping team, providing a first class service for our college community.

Working as part of the busy Housekeeping team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained throughout the college.

The ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• An ability or aptitude to clean and service college rooms using agreed methods and procedures: ensuring a high standard of cleanliness is achieved and maintained at all times.
• Good communication skills are essential as the nature of the role is customer facing and will involve contact with students, Fellows, visitors, conference guests and work colleagues.
• Be able to manage their own workload and work to deadlines which is particularly important during busy conference periods when our award winning B&B service is in place.

Working arrangements and salary

• Competitive annual salary of £13.45 per hour
• The successful candidates may be deployed to work across any College property (within the city of Cambridge), depending on the needs of the department.
