ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL PARTNERSHIPS AND APPRENTICESHIPS Hours: 37 hours per week Salary: £71,635 - £78,939 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience) Our Colllege is entering a truly exciting new chapter. Recently named Yorkshire and Humberside’s regional Construction Technical Excellence College (CTEC) – one of just ten nationally – we’re proud to be recognised for our leadership in technical education, employer collaboration, and industry innovation. Following our Ofsted visit in March 2025, which confirmed significant progress in every area, and achieving an Outstanding financial health rating, we are now seeking an exceptional strategic leader to join our Strategic Leadership Team. As Assistant Principal Apprenticeships & Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the next stage of the College’s growth and innovation. Reporting directly to the Vice Principal Curriculum, Quality and Innovation, you will provide strategic leadership for our apprenticeship provision (up to and including Level 3) and for employer and partnership development both nationally and regionally. In this key leadership role, you will lead the College’s Apprenticeships strategy, up to and including Level 3, ensuring provision is high-quality, responsive, and aligned to local, regional, and national skills priorities. You will drive the growth of apprenticeship provision, set and achieve ambitious targets, and oversee curriculum management with a focus on quality assurance, learner achievement, and employer engagement. Working closely with employers, industry partners, and key stakeholders, you will develop innovative new business opportunities, expand the College’s partnerships, and enhance our reputation for workforce development and technical excellence. With a strong focus on employer collaboration and student progression, you will ensure that every learner benefits from meaningful, high-quality encounters with industry, supporting successful progression into sustainable employment and further training. You will also play a key role in leading staff development, monitoring performance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across all areas of apprenticeship delivery and partnership work. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic, forward-thinking leader who combines vision with operational excellence. You will inspire and motivate colleagues, foster collaboration, and play a central role in ensuring LCB continues to lead the way in construction and technical education. We are proud to be the UK’s only specialist general further education college for construction and the built environment. You’ll join a passionate, forward- thinking team at a time of national recognition and investment in our CTEC status. We offer a supportive, ambitious environment where innovation is valued and your leadership will make a lasting impact on students, staff, employers, and the wider industry. In return, we offer a warm and welcoming college with an excellent benefits package that includes: • A 35-day annual leave entitlement, plus 8 Bank Holidays and 10 college closure days• A well-respected pension scheme (Teacher’s Pension, with an employer contribution of 28.68%) • Free parking at all our College sites (on a first come first served basis) • Family friendly policies and opportunities for flexible working • Superb opportunities for training and development • Discounted travel on public transport and a Cycle to work scheme • Discounts and offers at major High Street and Online retailers • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme • Dedicated Staff Wellbeing events.
