To assess, plan, treat and evaluate outcomes for spinal cord injury patients receiving rehabilitation at the NSIC.
You will need to have at least 2 years experience working in this specialist field.
Main duties of the job
To provide OT to a full caseload of patients undergoing rehabilitation following a SCI and to ensure their individual needs and goals are met. This will include the role of key worker as part of the goal planning process along with weekly liaison with MDT colleagues to ensure collaborative working. It will include patient and family education and liaison with community colleagues to ensure a timely discharge to a safe environment. The postholder will organise community visits for social re-integration and to assess the home, work or school environment.

4. Training from OBU or Coventry University for OT students
Be able to set up a powered wheelchair
