Apricus Resourcing are working with an excellent rated charity who are searching for a Family Safeguarding Recovery Worker for a role based in Guilford on an ongoing contract basis that may result in a permanent post. This role offers a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and a competitive pay rate of £20.00/h.
Within your role you will be working within a wider multi-disciplinary team that supports parents and families suffering with various substance misuse and alcohol related issues, focusing on improving safety and capacity and safeguarding children at the same time. Your role involves assessing risks, providing support and interventions, and promoting positive change for both parents and children.

Key Duties for the role include:
* To deliver substance misuse services to Families and Young people across Guilford and manage a caseload, reviewing ongoing recovery plans and treatment
* Carry out brief intervention’s comprehensive assessments with service users around their substance misuse
* Embed provision and service within targeted communities
* To liaise and network with a wide range of professionals working with young people across Guilford, maintaining effective partnerships and working agreements to improve the outcomes for the individual
* To improve outcomes for children, parents/carers and families of services users by reducing the impact of drug and alcohol related harm on family life and promote positive family involvement in recovery.
In order to be considered for this role you will need to have previous experience of working with families & young people and empathy with and understanding of the issues they face & experience of drug and alcohol-related work and an understanding of the problems associated with substance use including knowledge of drug issues and relevant legislation. At least 12 months experience within a Recovery focused position is required in order to be considered due to the nature of the position.
The working hours for the role are Monday - Friday 9-5pm with a hourly rate of £20/h available to the successful candidate. The post is based on a rolling 3 month basis and may result in a permanent position.
