LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT

We’re looking for a Lead Project Manager to drive the delivery of our DSEAR compliance programme across Severn Trent Water and Hafren Dyfrdwy. This is a high-impact role leading a team and supply chain partners to deliver statutory inspections, remedials, and capital works safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements.


What you’ll be doing


1. Lead delivery of the DSEAR compliance programme, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory adherence
2. Manage internal teams and framework contractors across multi-site projects
3. Oversee operational and capital investment delivery within budget
4. Provide DSEAR subject matter expertise across wastewater, water treatment, and bioresources
5. Drive supplier performance, contract management, and continuous improvement
6. Manage risk, compliance reporting, KPIs, and stakeholder engagement at all levels

You’ll work within our Health, Safety, Security and Wellbeing team. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us hours a week.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR


7. Strong experience delivering complex, multi-site engineering or compliance programmes
8. Proven leadership of internal teams and external supply chain partners
9. Experience applying legislation/regulations (DSEAR, CDM, H&S standards)
10. Commercial acumen with contract and budget management experience
11. Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
12. Ability to manage risk and deliver in a regulated environment


Requirements


13. Background in engineering, construction, environmental or project management
14. Full UK driving licence


Desirable: APM (or similar), professional membership, NEC/contract management experience
