Duties as Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher:
* Plan, prepare and deliver creative and engaging lessons that meet the national curriculum.
* Organise and oversee practical cooking sessions, ensuring high standards of health, hygiene and safety.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records.
* Maintain and manage the food technology kitchen, ordering and managing ingredients and equipment.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and contribute to wider school initiatives.
* Arrange and support extracurricular activities such as cooking clubs, food competitions or themed events.
* Attend staff meetings, training sessions and school functions as required.
Ideal Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Strong subject knowledge in Food Preparation, Nutrition, and related sciences.
* Ability to inspire students of all abilities to develop practical cookery skills and an understanding of healthy eating.
* Excellent classroom management, organisational and communication skills as a Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher.
