Job Description
Do you want to build a fast-paced and exciting career in IT? Trupanion is looking for a self-motivated individual who is interested in using their investigative nature to lead our quality assurance team and help drive quality testing in a rapidly-growing, agile organization. You’ll interact with both people and technology to support Trupanion’s internal and external systems and report to the VP of Insurance Technology.

If you live in the greater Altrincham area, you will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
1. Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans for various together with project managers, developers, and collaborators to define testing objectives and timelines.
2. Team Management:Direct a team of testers, providing guidance, mentorship, and a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the testing team.
3. End-to-End Testing:Oversee all aspects of end-to-end testing, including functional, integration, regression, and performance that test cases are developed, implemented, and documented according to established the warranty period for any major releases, owning the resolution timings and progression of fixes,
4. UAT:Coordinate UAT activities with business partners to validate that solutions meet business requirements and user expectations.Facilitate UAT sessions, gather feedback, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
5. Internal QA:Establish and enforce QA processes and standards to maintain product quality throughout the development lifecycle.Conduct detailed reviews of requirements, design specifications, and code to identify defects and areas for improvement.
6. Tooling and Automation:Evaluate testing tools and technologies to streamline testing processes and improve the implementation of test automation frameworks such as Virtuoso, to enhance test coverage and accelerate release cycles.
7. Reporting and Communication:Prepare and present test plans, progress reports, and quality metrics to project collaborators and senior management.Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to address issues, risks, and dependencies impacting testing activities.
Qualifications:
Experience
8. Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
9. Extensive experience in senior testing roles within fast-paced, regulated environments ( healthcare, finance)
10. Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
11. Skilled in test planning, execution, and defect management, including leadership responsibilities
12. Background in IT infrastructure, particularly with Microsoft Windows and Azure technologies
13. Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, and Virtuoso
14. Hands-on experience with tools like SQL, Postman, Jira, Azure DevOps, SharePoint, BrowserStack
15. Relevant certifications including Microsoft Azure (Administrator or Architect level) and Information Security ( CISSP, CEH)

Compensation:
22. The pay for this position is Base Pay £70,000 (GBP), on a full-time schedule.
23. Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
