About the Team
The Direct-to-Consumer channel is experiencing phenomenal growth at Medik8. Our D2C team drives this performance by capturing potential customers through key digital marketing channels and ensuring a positive, engaging experience on our websites. We build ongoing relationships from the first purchase and beyond. We think digitally and commercially, making data‑led decisions, test our ideas and change course quickly if it is the right thing for the brand.
The Role
At Medik8, we believe education is the key to great skincare. The role requires an expert in writing for digital channels who can deliver important messages across digital platforms quickly, help our customers make informed decisions, and translate broad messaging into channel‑relevant copy that speaks to our audience and delivers commercial results. You will work closely with R&D, Global Brand and the wider D2C team.
Hybrid Working
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week based at our office and 2 days from home.
Location
We are currently based in Centennial Park, Elstree, which will relocate to the Central London area in 2027.
Salary
£35‑£40k
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver new content for our online skincare resource, coordinating with stakeholders in R&D and Global Brand.
* Write SEO‑optimised blog articles to support organic search efforts and high‑opportunity content themes.
* Create trending and educational blog copy, including briefs for supporting assets such as infographics and video.
* Manage and work with freelance writers to produce industry expert articles.
* Support D2C channel owners with strong commercial copy for website banners and emails.
* Script social media ads and write compelling storytelling copy for paid social assets.
* Tailor regional campaign copy to ensure messaging lands effectively across different digital markets.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in professional copywriting and digital storytelling.
* Strong understanding of SEO best practices and writing for search intent.
* Experience writing copy for digital channels to drive commercial objectives and conversion.
* High level of attention to detail with impeccable British English spelling and grammar.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, commercial environment.
* Beauty industry experience is essential (in‑house, agency, or media).
