About The Role
MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen its Commercial team with a Senior Quantity Surveyor based at Coppermills, with hybrid working available.
You will report directly to the Commercial Manager and will be responsible for the Commercial Management of Project(s).
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform quantity surveying duties related to managing projects and work packages.
* Liaise with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyze, and control costs.
* Collaborate with the client to meet business requirements.
* Manage the main contract, ensuring contractual notices and correspondence are identified and raised as necessary.
* Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.
* Assist in managing and evaluating subcontractors' performance.
* Manage the preparation and agreement of payment applications.
* Prepare project cost & value reports, budgets, and forecasts.
* Assist in developing and managing junior commercial staff.
* Ensure continuous professional development through external networking, conferences, and associations to stay current with industry changes.
* Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach, providing honest feedback.
* Undertake other duties, training, or hours as reasonably required, consistent with the role's responsibilities.
* Present a professional and positive image in all internal and external contacts, fostering constructive relationships.
* Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
About You
Essential:
* Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Working towards or holding chartered membership of a recognized institution.
* Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors.
* Experience with NEC3 contracts.
Desirable:
* Experience managing and developing individuals or small teams.
