We're on the lookout for skilled Sheet Metal Workers to join a major long‑term defence project – a multi‑year opportunity where your craftsmanship will directly support the build of cutting‑edge naval platforms. This is more than just a job – it's hands‑on, high‑impact work in a fast‑paced shipbuilding environment. You'll be part of a collaborative and experienced team, shaping complex metal structures with precision and pride.
Responsibilities
Manufacturing and installing marine‑grade ventilation, HVAC systems, and interior furnishings.
* Install a variety of ventilation systems, including rectangular and spiral ducting
* Fabricate and assemble bespoke metal furniture such as triple bunks, wardrobes, and metal desks
* Read and interpret technical drawings to complete detailed metalwork installations
* Work with a range of tools and materials to shape, cut, and fit metal components
* Maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and finish in all tasks
What you’ll bring
* Recognised Trade Papers / Modern Apprenticeship Certificate – essential.
* Experience in large‑scale marine, oil & gas, or industrial manufacturing.
* Solid understanding of SHE, COSHH, and general site safety standards.
* Confidence working in confined spaces or at height when required.
* A strong eye for detail and a pride in the quality of your work.
* All applicants will need to have lived in UK for the past 3 years as a minimum and willing to undergo a Baseline Personal Security Screening (BPSS) to be considered for the role.
