Business Development Executive

* Permanent

* Newbury

* £30,000 - £40,000 basic salary plus uncapped commission

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Executive who is enthusiastic, hardworking and ambitious and who would like this opportunity to take their sales career a step further. The Business Development Manager plays a critical role within the Direct Sales function, contributing directly to revenue growth through the identification, acquisition, and development of new customer relationships. You would be responsible for delivering new business from inbound and outbound leads, maintaining high-quality client engagement, and supporting the achievement of commercial targets aligned with the company’s broader strategic objectives.

Sales Execution & Customer Acquisition

· Generate and convert leads from referrals, digital channels, and outbound prospecting into new business opportunities.

· Manage the end-to-end sales process from initial contact through to signed agreement, ensuring a high conversion rate and strong client experience.

· Tailor value propositions and sales strategies based on customer segmentations .

· Maintain up-to-date and accurate records in the CRM for all sales activity and client interactions.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

· Establish strong, consultative relationships with prospective clients to understand their needs and position the company’s offerings effectively.

· Support cross-sell and upsell initiatives during early stages of the client lifecycle to increase deal size and long-term customer value.

· Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless onboarding and activation for new clients.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

· Report key sales metrics regularly including pipeline growth, conversion rates, deal sizes, and referral performance.

· Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets

· Contribute feedback and insights to optimize sales strategies, customer segmentation, and lead generation efforts.

Key Attributes required:

· Proactive, results-driven sales professional with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability to close complex deals and manage multiple stakeholders.

· Strong understanding of the sales lifecycle and client needs in a fast-paced, commercial environment.

· Resilient, self-motivated, and comfortable working with performance targets.
