As an Fleet and Workshop Support Officer you will be part of a friendly supportive team within a fast paced fleet maintenance workshop environment. If you have good knowledge of Microsoft Office, great communication and organisational skills and are able to be self-motivated and adaptable, this could be the role for you. Your main duties will include:
1. Providing a technical reception service to the fleet maintenance workshops for vehicle & plant users, Taxi drivers and external customers.
2. Assisting the service to meet its statutory duty for fleet maintenance and financial record keeping by ensuring accurate records are maintained both electronic & paper.
We are problem solvers so you will need to able to use your initiative to deal with them and support the management team in co-ordinating issues across the Service. A technical knowledge of vehicles and plant is required or the ability to learn and you will be supported in your Continued Professional Development as the vehicle & plant industry is ever changing. Other general administrative duties such as photocopying and filing are also part of the role although we are currently progressing to a paperless working environment. Applicants should hold; 4 GCSE passes (grade A to C) or equivalent including English Language and a numeracy based subject, normally mathematics and be able to demonstrate experience in a busy reception / office environment and a relevant qualification.
