About Us:
Overworld AMP is a pioneering, state-of-the-art Independent Alternative Provision, dedicated to serving the needs of neurodivergent young people. We offer individualised programmes, qualifications, guidance, & support to help each young person reach their full potential. Our young people are aged 8-25yrs, with a variety of special educational & sometimes care needs. Most have an Educational Health & Care Plan (EHCP).
The role:
We are looking for a passionate and versatile Assistant Support Worker to join our team
Day to day duties:
* Working 1:1 with your young person(s) - be sure to tell us about your passion for gaming, this is important
* Creating lesson plans and workflows for sessions
* Creating and recording gaming videos and images for visual showreels
* Editing gameplay and videos for online and internal use
* Guide a young person through our education courses, certification programmes and qualifications
* Understand each young person's personality, skillset and challenges
* Identify opportunities to support students in meeting their educational and personal goals
* Write-up session notes and input into external reports e.g. for annual review
* Take direction from senior staff and contribute to team efforts
* Follow Overworld AMP policies and procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Strong gaming skills
* The ability to up-skill in various games/devices - not just those you would typically choose to play.
* No qualifications necessary but a commitment to Continued Professional Development is a must (we offer our staff opportunities to gain qualifications in Mentoring or Teaching)
* Driving license desirable

* Working wage as directed by the Gov.UK
