We are looking for an Operations Manager again, due to a previously secured candidate’s personal circumstances they have had to step back. Disappointing, sure, but it now opens up the door again for the right person. This role is about driving results, growing people, and shaping the systems and strategy that take us to the next level. About the opportunity You’ll oversee our operations across residential, commercial, and civil workstreams, ensuring smooth day-to-day running and supporting foremen, supervisors, and PMs to deliver efficiently, on time, and to budgets.
Responsibilities include:
1. Team leadership & mentoring – build capability across our crews and site leaders
2. Scheduling & resourcing – keep jobs running with the right people, plant, and planning
3. Budget & cost control – monitor margins, manage spend, and drive profitability
4. Process improvement – refine systems Simpro) and workflows for better clarity and efficiency
5. Reporting & accountability – ensure visibility of performance from site to boardroom
6. Strategic growth input – contribute to business direction and decision-making
7. Culture & communication – keep people connected, aligned, and working as one team

Who You Are:
16. A proven leader from the drainage, earthworks, or civil sector
17. Strong with numbers, planning, job costing and people
18. Highly organised with practical industry knowledge
19. Straight up communicator with respect and credibility
20. Confident using or learning operational systems
21. Big on culture – but even bigger on accountability
22. Hold a full NZ driver’s licence and clean criminal record
