This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HGV Technician looking to join a professional fleet maintenance environment, working on heavy goods vehicles, trailers and associated commercial vehicles. The successful candidate will be confident carrying out inspections, diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance to a high standard. This position would suit a reliable and technically skilled HGV Technician or Trailer Technician with a strong understanding of DVSA standards and commercial vehicle compliance. Key Responsibilities - Carry out major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers and other commercial vehicles - Complete regular inspections, servicing and preventative maintenance - Diagnose vehicle faults and work with the wider team to plan effective repairs - Identify worn or faulty components in line with DVSA standards - Maintain accurate service records, repair notes and job documentation - Support roadside or emergency repair requirements where needed - Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards - Assist with warranty-related paperwork and escalate technical issues where required Candidate Requirements - Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, such as NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI - Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, Trailer Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician - Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle inspections, repairs and maintenance standards - Ability to identify worn, damaged or faulty components accurately - Full UK driving licence for the relevant vehicle classes - IRTEC accreditation would be desirable but is not essential - Reliable, professional and able to work effectively as part of a technical team Working Hours Monday to Friday: 13:30 - 22:00 Sundays on rota: 06:00 - 14:00 Overtime is available and paid at time and a half .
