We're excited to offer an opportunity for a Dental Receptionist to join our long-established, highly recommended practice in Tunbridge Wells. For over 40 years, we've proudly served both NHS and Private patients, delivering high-quality care in a warm, supportive environment.
This is a part-time, permanent position as part of a job share, with flexibility to choose up to 2 working days that suit your schedule — plus Wednesdays
About the Role
As a Dental Receptionist, you'll be the first friendly face our patients meet and a key part of our professional team. Working alongside Receptionists, Dental Nurses, Hygienists, Therapists, Dentists, Implantologists, and a Periodontist, you'll play a vital role in keeping our practice running smoothly. You will be supported by the practice manager and principal dentist.
You'll thrive in a fast-paced, varied role; handling everything from phone enquiries and diary management to face-to-face interactions and administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome patients to the clinic and provide a warm, professional first impression
* Handle incoming calls, book and manage appointments
* Verify insurance details and assist with claims
* Maintain accurate patient records and gather medical history
* Support billing and payment processing
* Keep the reception area clean and organised
* Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient care
* Deliver excellent service by addressing patient queries and concerns

* Proficient with phone systems and computer scheduling
* A confident communicator, both verbally and in writing
* Eager to learn — no prior dental experience is needed, as full training is provided

Practice Opening Hours
We offer flexibility to fit around your life. You'll work up to 2 weekdays of your choice, plus Wednesdays. You'll also be asked to work 1 in every 3 or 4 Saturdays (morning only).
* Monday–Friday: 08:45 – 18:00
* Wednesday (mandatory): 08:45 – 18:00 (1 late shift per month until 19:30)
* Saturday (1 in 3/4): 08:45 – 13:30
