Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Employment Paralegal to join our busy and supportive team in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine interest in employment law who is looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking firm.
Responsibilities
* Assisting solicitors with a wide range of employment law matters, including disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, settlement agreements, and tribunal claims.
* Drafting documents, correspondence, and contracts of employment.
* Conducting legal research and preparing case summaries.
* Liaising with clients, witnesses, and external parties in a professional and efficient manner.
* Supporting fee earners in preparing cases for hearings and negotiations.
* Managing administrative tasks, including file management and maintaining accurate records.
About You
* Previous paralegal experience, ideally within employment law (though strong candidates from other practice areas will be considered).
* A law degree, LPC, or equivalent qualification.
* Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Confident communicator with the ability to build strong client relationships.
* Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
