Hourly rate: £38. This full-time locum position involves reviewing plans for children and young people in need of protection, in the council's care or those who are care leavers. Provide independent oversight of children’s care and monitor and challenge local authority practices when necessary.
What you will do
* Review and evaluate plans for children and young people requiring protection and care.
* Provide effective independent oversight to ensure the best outcomes for children.
* Monitor the local authority’s performance in handling children’s cases.
* Challenge and address any poor practice to ensure compliance with high standards.
* Chair Child Protection Conferences effectively as part of your role.
* Support the council’s vision and priorities through impactful collaboration.
* Assist the Team Manager in planning and achieving team and service objectives.
* Identify and highlight resource issues and provide solutions to optimise service delivery.
* Contribute to delivering standards that promote equality of opportunity.
