Deputy Manager - Dementia Residential Care Southampton £35,000 per annum Full-time | 24 hours on the floor / 16 hours office-based (40 hours per week) About the Role: We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to join a well-established Residential Dementia Care Home in Southampton. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and compassionate leader who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care. The successful candidate will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home, providing support both on the floor and within the management team. Key Responsibilities: Support the Home Manager in the overall management and leadership of the home. Work 24 hours on the floor providing hands-on care and supervision to ensure the highest standards of resident support. Complete 16 hours office-based tasks including audits, care planning, rota management, and staff supervision. Ensure compliance with CQC standards and internal quality frameworks. Assist with staff training, appraisals, and development planning. Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and external professionals. Contribute to maintaining a safe, caring, and supportive environment for residents and staff. Requirements: NVQ Level 3 (minimum) in Health & Social Care (Level 4 or 5 desirable). Previous experience as a Senior Care Assistant, Team Leader, or Deputy Manager within a residential or dementia care setting. Strong understanding of CQC compliance and best practice in dementia care.
