Are you a confident, proactive individual looking to build your experience in education with long-term stability?
We are working in partnership with several secondary schools across Northampton who are seeking long-term Cover Supervisors to join their teams for the 2025/26 academic year. These full-time roles offer consistency, classroom responsibility, and a fantastic opportunity to be fully embedded within a school community.
Ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced classroom staff, this is a perfect stepping stone into a teaching career-or a rewarding long-term role in its own right.
The Role:
1. Provide full-time cover for teacher absences across multiple subjects (lessons pre-planned)
2. Supervise students in the classroom, ensuring work is completed and behaviour remains positive
3. Build strong working relationships with staff and pupils over the course of the term/year
4. Contribute to the daily life of the school - including duties, meetings, and events where appropriate
5. Be a consistent presence for pupils who benefit from stability and structure
Who We're Looking For:
6. Confident individuals with experience working with young people (in education, sports, or youth settings)
7. Graduates considering teacher training, or experienced Cover Supervisors/Teaching Assistants
8. Someone who enjoys working with secondary-age students and can engage across the curriculum
9. Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, professional approach
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
What You'll Gain:
11. A full-time, long-term position with consistency and structure
12. Classroom-based experience that supports progression into teaching or education roles
13. Competitive weekly pay and professional support throughout your placement
14. Access to over 2,500 accredited CPD courses via The National College
15. A chance to make a lasting impact in a Northampton secondary school
If you're ready to step into a more stable and rewarding classroom role, we'd love to hear from you.
