Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Receptionist with good interpersonal and communication skills to join our busy and friendly team. The role is very busy and the ability to multi task is essential. The post is 28 hours per week. Hours of work: Wed 14.00-18.00; Thu and Fri 8.00-18.00 with a 1 hour unpaid lunch break. NHS Pension. The position is permanent. Previous NHS experience would be an advantage but not necessary. The salary is £12.21 per hour. Date posted: 01 September 2025. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE UNABLE TO ACCOMMODATE SCHOOL HOURS. Flexibility for staff sickness and holiday cover is essential. Early application is recommended due to potential demand.

* Ensure that all reception duties and tasks are carried out in an effective, efficient and professional manner in line with the practice's guidelines, procedures and protocols.
* Ensure an effective and efficient reception service is provided to patients and any other visitors to the practice.
* Undertake general office and reception duties including front desk, telephone and email.
* Liaise with outside agencies.
* Support colleagues and be a team player.

* Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
